In place of the old City Stadium September 24, 1961 was inaugurated the new stadium that has always hosted the home matches of the US Arezzo. The stadium is owned by the municipality and this is called City of Arezzo. In 2006 he was dubbed "the city of Arezzo." In the early years were only available grandstand and the marathon and then be added the curve north February 20, 1965 carrying capacity from 8000 to 10000 spectators. On 19 September 1982 it was opened to the public the second corner of the stadium by adding thousands of spectators to the total capacity of the plant.
On the occasion of the pastoral visit of Pope John Paul II, on 19 and 20 September 1992 to the Diocese of Arezzo-Cortona-Sansepolcro was renovated grandstand, the press room, the locker rooms and corridors inside the structure.

Immediately after the conclusion of the championship 2003-2004 north curve was demolished and rebuilt much more capacious bringing 2000 to 5000 spectators their capacity. The new curve was baptized "Lauro Minghelli" in honor of Captain amaranth died in 2004 because of Gehrig's disease. This new improvement has led to the unavailability of the athletics track as the new curve was built over a part of the athletics track to be closer to the playing field by giving more visibility to the spectators. The track and field events have been moved to the plant via Fiorentina.
With the new rules more restrictive with regard to the maximum availability of the stadium with seats strictly numbered maximum capacity was increased to 15,000 seats.
